Terms of use
Last updated: 26 October 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Atharva Sabnis, Dubai, UAE ("we"), who runs the Gayi Toh Gayi app and website. By using the app you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.
1. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. The app is for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. What the app is
Gayi Toh Gayi sends you a short video every day from a different character who speaks to you by your first name. Every character is AI-generated: the faces and voices are synthetic and none of them is a real person. The videos are entertainment and encouragement. They are not therapy, medical advice or a relationship. If you are struggling, call Tele-MANAS, India's free mental health helpline, on 14416, at any hour.
3. Your name
You give us your first name so the characters can say it. Use your own name or a name you go by. We can refuse a name, or remove videos made with one, if it is abusive, hateful, sexual, someone else's identity, a public figure or a word meant to make a character say something offensive. Our privacy policy explains what happens to your name and voice: gayitohgayi.com/privacy.
4. Subscriptions
- Plans are weekly, monthly or every three months, at the price shown in the app before you pay.
- Payment is taken by Google Play or the App Store. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
- Cancel any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or on iPhone (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play's and Apple's refund policies; requests go to them. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law.
- Videos arrive on a schedule. If your subscription lapses, the schedule pauses and picks up from where you stopped when you subscribe again.
- Deleting your data or the app does not cancel your subscription.
5. Sharing videos
You may share your videos with friends from inside the app. Shared copies end with a card saying the character is AI. Don't remove that card or the file's AI label, don't present a video as a real person talking to you, and don't use a video to deceive, harass or impersonate anyone. You may not sell, re-upload as your own content or use the videos commercially.
6. Rules
Don't copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the app, get around the paywall or the schedule, use someone else's purchase, or overload our servers. Don't use the app if you are under 18.
7. Who owns what
We own the app, the characters, the scripts and the videos, including the personalised ones. We give you a personal, revocable licence to watch your videos and share them as section 5 allows.
8. Reporting
Every video has a Report option. Use it for a wrong name, an offensive video or a glitch. We review reports and remove content that breaks these terms.
9. Ending things
You can stop using the app and delete your data at any time from Settings, or at gayitohgayi.com/delete. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms; if we end the service itself, we will say so in the app first.
10. No guarantees
We work to keep the app running and the videos correct, but it is provided as is. A video can arrive late, mispronounce a name or occasionally fail. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts in Mumbai, without taking away your right to use a consumer forum where you live.
